The night of April 28, 2006 - celebrating with the
Greater Bridgeport Latino Network - 2 year anniversary event!

Great night of festivities, food, dance, and great music! Thank you to Rick Cruz, Eileen C. Lopez, Yolanda Caldera-Durant, Carmen Nieves and the rest of the GBLN committee for having my girls attend your festivities. My thanks to your organization for first opening up the doors to Bridgeport for me as Mrs. PR of CT 2005 and now for my girls. I truly appreciate the support - gracias!
Community Service Projects:
Dress for Success - April 21, 2006 "Dress up for your prom"

Contestants pose with Carmen Nieves, Program Director for Dress for Success program in Fairfield County. She graciously invited the contestants to attend the Dress up for Prom event being held at the Buttoned Up Shop. This event assisted high school students in selecting prom dresses at an affordable price. Myself and one of my contestants found some good deals as well!

Ms. Hartford - Jeannette Rivera, Miss Teen Sabana Grande - Sully Rodriguez, Ms. San Juan - Sandra Colon and Ms. Santa Isabel - Leesandra Arreaga all posed for this group shot at the event.
Prospect House Homeless Shelter - April 29, 2006

Contestants participated in this project where we prepped macaroni and cheese, and baked chicken for about 70 homeless shelter clients.

Contestants served the food to all of the clients and we were forwarned about the flirting Latinos in the crowd, but we served them with even more smiles which they appreciated more than the food! You would be surprised what a few encouraging words can do for the soul.
Thank you to Prospect House for having us there that afternoon, to cook, serve, and put some smiles on many faces.
